1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AMLGuard website at https://aml-guard.cc/ ("Website") and the free AML check service provided through it ("Service"), operated by AMLGuard Ltd ("Company", "we", "us" or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law.
The Service is not available to persons residing in jurisdictions where its use is prohibited, or to individuals or entities subject to sanctions imposed by the United Nations, European Union, United Kingdom, United States (OFAC), or any other applicable authority.
3. The Service
AMLGuard provides a free Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance tool that allows users to screen cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transactions against public compliance databases, sanctions lists, and known risk categories. The Service returns a risk score and a breakdown of contributing factors.
The Service is offered free of charge, with optional paid analyzers available for deeper screening. You may use the Service without registration or identity verification (KYC).
4. Informational use only
AML risk scoring involves statistical analysis and pattern matching against external data sources. A "clean" result does not guarantee that a wallet or transaction is free of risk, and a "risky" result does not conclusively establish that funds are illicit. For regulated activities, consult qualified compliance professionals and certified providers.
5. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms, you may use the Service to:
- Screen individual wallet addresses or transactions for personal due diligence before receiving or sending crypto.
- Check counterparties before engaging in OTC, P2P, or over-the-counter trades.
- Verify third-party wallets in the course of your own compliance procedures, provided you comply with applicable laws.
- Evaluate whether the Service meets your business needs before subscribing to a paid tier or API.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Abuse the Service — use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to query the Service beyond reasonable human use; bypass rate limits.
- Resell the Service — sell, resell, sublicense, or redistribute results obtained from the Service without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer — attempt to decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
- Harm the Service — interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Service.
- Unlawful use — use the Service for illegal activities, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or any conduct prohibited under applicable law.
- Mislead — misrepresent risk scores obtained from the Service to third parties, regulators, or counterparties.
- Impersonate — submit data that does not belong to you with the intent to deceive or harass.
7. Intellectual property
All content, features, design, branding, source code, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — are owned by AMLGuard Ltd or our licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal business purposes only, in accordance with these Terms. No rights are granted to you beyond the limited license described in this section.
8. Third-party data sources
The Service aggregates and relies on data from third-party compliance providers and public blockchain data, including but not limited to Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs, Crystal, Scorechain, Merkle Science, as well as public sanctions databases (OFAC, FATF, FinCEN). We do not control these third-party sources and make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of their data.
Third-party names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the sources of data used by the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY;
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE;
- NON-INFRINGEMENT;
- ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF RESULTS;
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific needs, detect all risks, or prevent any account freezes, withdrawals blocks, or regulatory actions against you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AMLGuard LTD, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PAID FEATURES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AMLGuard Ltd and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Website or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct we deem harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction where AMLGuard Ltd is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless required otherwise by local consumer protection laws.
